Het is een bewegingsdiscipline ontwikkeld door Joseph Pilates begin de jaren 1920. De focus ligt op het versterken van ons “ Power house”, ons natuurlijk korset met name de buik- rug- en bekkenbodemspieren, om het lichaam in balans te brengen en onze wervelkolom te ondersteunen en te verlengen.

Het is een systeem van verstevigende en correctieve bewegingen waardoor het gehele lichaam sterker en leniger wordt.

Elke oefening is een combinatie van kracht, souplesse, lichaamscontrole en bewuste ademhaling. We zoeken balans tussen body en mind.

Slechte bewegingspatronen worden afgeleerd waardoor veel klachten zullen verminderen of zelfs helemaal verdwijnen. Er wordt op een doordachte effectieve manier gewerkt zodat men gezonde bewegingspatronen functioneel in het dagelijks leven zullen integreren, en terug leren op een gezonde manier te bewegen.

Deze les gebeurd in kleine groepjes zodat er individueel contact is tussen jou en de lesgeefster, techniek staat hier centraal.

Deze les is zeer gevarieerd en voor iedereen haalbaar.

Deze les is voor elke sporter ( beginnende of gevorderde ) een must!
